Quality Assurance Manager for the Femern Project at Sund & Bælt

The Position
As Quality Assurance Manager, you will hold a key role in safeguarding quality across complex infrastructure projects, with a primary focus on the Femern Project. You will collaborate closely with contractors, project teams, and technical specialists to ensure compliance with quality requirements and support a strong quality culture throughout the project lifecycle.
You will become part of a professional and collaborative environment characterized by high standards, shared responsibility, and a commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable infrastructure.
The position is based at our office in Rødbyhavn, with the possibility of occasional working days from our Copenhagen office.
Key Responsibilities
As Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a central role in governing, monitoring, and continuously improving quality management systems, and contractor performance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the review and follow-up of the Contractor’s Quality Management System and related deliverables.
- Monitoring the Contractor’s quality performance, including submissions, non-conformities, corrective actions, and key performance indicators, and identification of quality-related risks.
- Assessing the resolution of the Contractor’s System NCRs and leading the associated reviews.
- Overseeing the planning, execution, and follow-up of contractor audits and monitoring the closure of audit findings.
- Analysing audit results and quality trends to identify risks and follow-up on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Representing the Owner in selected audits and promoting a consistent, risk-based quality approach.
- Supporting internal audits and following up on findings, lessons learned, and preventive actions.
- Contributing to quality reporting.
- Participating in Quality Status Meetings with the Contractor, .
Your Background
We expect that you hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably within Civil Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline, and have more than 10 years of experience within the construction industry. Ideally, this includes at least 5 years of dedicated experience working with construction quality management.
In addition, we are looking for candidates who:
- Have experience from large-scale construction or infrastructure projects, preferably delivered under Design & Build contracts.
- Possess solid experience with quality processes, Quality Management Systems, and audit processes.
- Have a strong understanding of quality standards such as ISO 9001, as well as relevant codes and regulatory frameworks.
- Are fluent in written and spoken English.
- Are experienced users of Microsoft Office and Electronic Document Management Systems.
- Have experience with the development of Quality Management Systems (an advantage).
- Hold an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification (an advantage).
