This project is a significant part of the Ministry of Transport's Infrastructure Plan 2035. The project is currently in the design phase and construction is expected to begin in early 2026.

The Øresund Motorway crosses Amager to Copenhagen Airport and the Øresund Bridge, and despite its relatively short length, it is one of the most important traffic connections in Denmark. About the Position

We are looking for someone who can:

• Take responsibility for coordinating design work, including overseeing the production of technical drawings and plans, ensuring that all design deliverables are coordinated and meet project requirements.
• Ensure that design deliverables are completed on time and within budget, while monitoring the project's budget.
• Work closely with specialists, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the design are integrated and coordinated.
• Review designs with a focus on health and safety, ensuring they meet all relevant standards and regulations, and provide quality assurance support on technical solutions.
• Provide technical knowledge and advice, contribute innovative solutions for design optimization and sustainability.
• Identify and manage potential risks, assess interface issues between different design disciplines, and ensure necessary preliminary investigations are conducted.

Qualifications
To successfully perform the above tasks, we prefer that you:

• Have an understanding of road construction technology and traffic regulations, including asphalt, drainage, soil, traffic rules, and traffic diversions.
• Possess competencies in design principles and construction techniques, specifically related to road and infrastructure projects.
• Are knowledgeable about relevant regulations, standards, and safety requirements in road construction.
• Understand the environmental aspects and sustainability in road projects.
• Have knowledge of soil conditions and geotechnical surveys.
• Have competencies in traffic planning and management to ensure optimal traffic flow and safety.

Your Background

• Have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a design manager on a major construction project.
• Have an academic technical background (engineer or building constructor).
• Can maintain a focus on the overall goals of the project and are a good communicator who can engage in professional relationships.
• Are proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Can keep an overview during high-paced periods.
• Are a team player.

About the Department

Your work will initially take place at the office in Vester Søgade, focusing on preparation and planning of the construction phase. Once construction begins, your daily routine will be on the construction site. You will be part of a strong team responsible for completing the project.
