Contract Manager
Would you like to manage large infrastructure projects?
In our department (Major Projects), we are expanding the Øresund Motorway, expanding the station at Copenhagen Airport, building a new overtaking track for freight trains at Kalvebod, and constructing the railway of the future from Ringsted to Rødby – and there are more projects on the way.
The Job
As our new Contract Manager, you ensure good and efficient management of contracts with consultants, contractors, and other suppliers. You are involved all the way and help design and develop the contracts and processes that you will subsequently use in managing the projects.
You will be part of Project Support, where we support all projects in Major Projects with common processes for contract, risk, document, and financial management. You will be assigned to specific projects, where you will closely collaborate with project management to support the projects through all phases (tendering, detailed design, execution, and handover to operations).
We Offer You
A unique, exciting, and challenging position where you will influence large infrastructure projects that will benefit many citizens. You will be part of a dynamic company with good opportunities for professional and personal development, and you will have the opportunity to build a large network with key players in the transport infrastructure sector.
About You
You are self-motivated, structured, and analytical, with a good eye for detail. As a person, you are open and outgoing with good collaboration skills and a good sense of humor. With a steep learning curve and a trustworthy demeanor, you can create solid and constructive relationships across organizations.
The ideal candidate has several of the following characteristics:
- You are educated as an engineer, lawyer, or similar with a specialization/experience in procurement and claims management.
- Knowledge of road, construction, and/or railway projects, as well as experience in the design and execution of road, construction, and/or railway projects, will be an advantage.
- You can independently manage tasks related to the procurement of road, construction, and/or railway projects, including market research, preparation of procurement strategy, selection of procurement methods, optimal phase divisions, and similar tasks.
- You focus on handling and incorporating non-technical requirements into the project.
- You work purposefully with quality assurance and have a sharp eye for procurement material to minimize claims and disputes during the construction phase.
- You are well-versed in conflict management and mitigation and can ensure progress and dialogue in tense situations.
- Experience with monitoring the project's quantities and financial statements during the execution phase, as well as participating in negotiations on claims, is an advantage.
- You actively contribute to managing the project's risks.
