Tunnel Contract Managers for the Femernbelt Project at Sund & Bælt

Then join us and become a Contract Manager within the Tunnel Department for the Femernbelt Project at Sund & Bælt!

The Position

As part of the tunnel contract management team, you will play a key role in the commercial and contract management of the full contract lifecycle of either the Immersed Tunnel or Tunnel Portal and Ramps contracts. You will be involved in daily contract management, development of variations and handling claims during the course of the contracts. You will report to the Contract Director of either the Immersed Tunnel or Tunnel Portal and Ramps, and work closely with the tunnel department Design Managers, Construction Managers, Interface Managers and the Legal team.

Your key tasks will be:

• Daily contract administration management
• Team leader to a team of Contract Administration Managers, Commercial Engineers, and Contract Administrators
• Managing correspondence with the contractor
• Managing and providing input to variations
• Managing and providing input to claims
• Reporting to senior management
• Support to the Contract Director

Your profile

We are looking for two dynamic and proactive Contract Managers with a contractual/legal background in major civil engineering projects with proven experience from challenging jobs, where you have handled and been responsible for contract management.

The ideal candidates will have the following key competencies and qualifications:

• You have a degree in Civil Engineering, Law, Quantity Surveying, Industrial or Business Engineering, or similar.
• You have 10-15 years’ experience within the field of commercial and contract management on similar complex large-scale international projects.
• The contract communication is in English; therefore, it is important that you are bilingual or fully professionally proficient in English, both in writing and orally, and have a good grasp of international construction contract terms.
• Construction contract and change management experience.
• Working knowledge and understanding of standard forms of contract and international Construction Law, such as FIDIC or bespoke.
• International experience on civil engineering and infrastructure projects, ideally on public works.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate contractual requirements and issues clearly.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and proactive.
• Well organised, with good attention to detail.
